BEAL DROPS 25 IN FIRST OFF THE BENCH ROLE IN NINE YEARS TO HELP SUNS
Beal drops 25 in his first off-the-bench rolke in nine years to help the Suns win for only the second time in nine games.
Furthermore, the 31-year-old All-Star guard scored 20 of his points in the second half as Phoenix erased 12-point deficit.
Moreover, Suns coach Mike Budenholzer’s move to send Beal and Jusuf Nurkic off the bench for Ryan Dunn and Mason Plumlee worked like a charm.
Beal thrived in a reserve role instantly, providing instant offense to Phoenix’s second unit as he led a comeback in the second half.
The Suns’ reserves, led by Beal, outscored their Sixers’ counterparts, 54-7, to finally stop their losing woes.
SUNS WON DESPITE SHOOTING STRUGGLES FROM BOOKER, JONES
Moreover, the Suns won despite shooting struggles from starters Devin Booker and Tyus Jones.
Furthermore, Booker had an awful 3-for-16 shooting from the field and was 3-of-6 from the line for just 10 points and 10 assists.
On the other hand, Jones went 2-of-7 and finished with just five points.
Good think Kevin Durant was his usual efficient self by producing 23 points on 14 field goals and added six rebounds and five assists.
Dunn also stepped up in a starter’s role with 15 points and four rebounds, while Plumlee chipped in two points and seven boards.
MAXEY LEADS SHORT-HANDED SIXERS AS EMBIID, DRUMMOND, LOWREY OUT
Furthermore, Tyrese Maxey led the short-handed Sixers that missed Joel Embiid, Andre Drummond, and Kyle Lowrey.
Moreover, Maxey had a superb game with 31 points and 10 assists that went for naught for Philadelphia.
Kelly Oubre scored 26 points, while Guerschon Yabusele added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Sixers.
However, All-Star forward Paul George struggled, as he needed 18 shots to come up with 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
The Sixers lost for the third time in four games and are now 7-14 without Embiid.
