Bellingham celebrates Champions League victory

Bellingham dished out the game-sealing goal for Vinicius Junior as Madrid secured a 2-0 victory over his former club at Wembley.

The 20-year-old couldn’t help but feel emotional after playing a crucial role in Los Blancos’ record-extending 15th European crown.

“I’ve always dreamed of playing in these games. You go through life and there’s so many people that say you can’t do things, and days like today just remind you why,” he said on TNT Sports.

“I was alright until I saw my mum and dad’s face there. The amount of nights where they could be at home by 7 o’clock and they’re doing trips at 11, 12 at night to take me to football.

“I can’t put it into words, it’s the best night of my life.”

Perfect Madrid debut

The English midfielder joined Madrid last summer after spending three seasons in Dortmund.

Bellingham had a stellar debut at the Bernabeu, scoring 23 times in all competitions, winning the league title, and being voted as La Liga’s player of the season.

The Spanish giants also claimed the Spanish Supercopa trophy, although they missed out on the Copa del Rey.

Nonetheless, Bellingham considers his first season in Spain a dream start.

“We missed out on the Copa Del Rey that’s the only disappointing thing I suppose… I can’t have dreamed it much better than this,” he said.
