Cremaschi signs extension with Inter Miami
The deal secures his place with the club through the 2027 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, with an option to extend it through 2028.
Cremaschi, 19, played a key role in helping Miami, led by Lionel Messi, win the Leagues Cup for the first time last season.
The United States-Argentina dual national made his U.S. debut at the Paris Olympics.
He was the youngest member of the roster.
“It feels good to sign this contract, knowing that I will continue at Inter Miami is a great achievement … I am happy to continue representing this city,” Cremaschi said in a statement.
“Everything has helped me, from the academy, to Inter Miami CF II, to reaching the first team. I’m going to work hard on the pitch for myself and for the people around me, for this city, to be an inspiration for more kids like me.”
Homegrown talent
Cremaschi signed with Inter Miami in 2022 as a homegrown player.
The midfielder has played 59 games for the MLS club, tallying six goals and nine assists in all competitions.
“Benja is a great homegrown success story for our development pathway, and we are thrilled to further our mutual commitment in the years to come,” sporting director Chris Henderson said.
“His future is extremely bright and we’re looking forward to his continued contributions to Inter Miami CF.”
