CANELO, CRAWFORD HYPE UPCOMING FIGHT BY ISSUING WARNINGS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Canelo (63-2-2, 39 KOs) and Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) hyped their upcoming fight by issuing warnings against each other on social media three months before their fight.

Furthermore, Alvarez drew first blood, initially describing Crawford as “a great fighter.”

Moreover, the Mexican champion clarified that his American opponent is “not Canelo.”

“He’s (Crawford) a great fighter. But he’s not Canelo,” Alvarez wrote on Instagram.

“On September 13 in Las Vegas, I remind the world who runs this era,” he added.

AMERICAN VOWS NOT TO LEAVE LAS VEGAS WITHOUT WIN

The American champion vowed not to leave Las Vegas without coming away with a win.

Moreover, the 37-year-old Nebraska native acknowledged that his 34-year-old opponent looms as his biggest obstacle to boxing greatness.

Furthermore, he vowed that he won’t leave the still-undetermined venue in Las Vegas empty-handed.

“The time has come,” Crawford wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“@Canelo (Alvarez), you’re in my way… and I’m not leaving Vegas without that win,” he added.

FIGHT TO BE SHOWN ON NETFLIX BUT SUBSRIBERS MAY FACE HUGE FINE

The Alvarez-Crawford fight will be streamed live on Netflix globally on September 13.

Furthermore, only Americans may watch the fight without paying their usual monthly subscription dues, as TV license is necessary in other countries.

Moreover, Lawhite head of Legal Operations head Daniel McAfee confirmed that British fight fans would need to get a valid TV license to avoid a fine.

“Under UK law, any live television broadcast requires a valid TV license, regardless of the streaming platform (Netflix),” the official said.

“We have a duty to enforce the law when there is evidence that someone has avoided paying for a TV license,” he added.

Interestingly, a TV license in the UK currently costs £174.50 (USD235).
