Highlights C1 – Mbappe Scores Hat-Trick as Real Madrid Crushes Man City at Bernabeu
Kylian Mbappe lit up the night with a top-class hat-trick against Man City, pushing Los Blancos into a well-deserved spot in the round of 16.
There was no head-to-head between Mbappe and Erling Haaland, as the Man City striker missed the game due to injury. At the Bernabeu, the return leg turned into a one-man show for the French forward: he scored three goals and left the pitch in the 78th minute to the roaring applause of tens of thousands of home fans.
Each goal came from a brilliant solo effort and a cold-blooded finish. Even though Man City wasn’t at their best and only created one clear chance in stoppage time, the match was already well in hand. This hat-trick marks Mbappe’s 20th in his career after 492 games, with 359 goals and 142 assists. For the first time since the 2012-2013 season, Man City have been eliminated before the round of 16 in the Champions League—back when Pep Guardiola hadn’t yet returned at the helm.
In their path ahead, Real Madrid are likely to face a heavyweight like Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen in the round of 16, with the draw set for February 21.
Juventus Eliminated by PSV – Serie A Demolished in Champions League
Just one day after AC Milan and Atalanta were knocked out, Juventus followed suit with a 1-3 loss to PSV Eindhoven in the return leg, meaning Serie A now has only one representative in Europe’s most prestigious club competition this season.

Previously, Atalanta lost 2-5 to Club Brugge and AC Milan were beaten 1-2 by Feyenoord.
A 2-1 win at home had seemingly made Juventus complacent on the road. In the return leg, PSV scored two goals in the second half – a cross-volley from former Inter star Ivan Perisic in the 53rd minute and a near-post finish from Ismael Saibari in the 74th minute – to level the aggregate and force extra time.
Juventus managed just one goal from a long-range strike by Timothy Weah. In extra time, the Dutch side continued to take advantage of Juventus’ shaky defense. Exploiting a mishandled catch by goalkeeper Di Gregorio, Ryan Flamingo tapped in the decisive goal, sealing a 3-1 win in the return leg and a 4-3 aggregate victory.

PSV now advances to the round of 16, where they will face either Inter or Arsenal. This leaves Serie A with only Inter, who already booked their place in the round of 16 by finishing fourth in the group stage.
