CLIPPERS VS HORNETS GAME SAW HARDEN ‘PLAYING AT A GREAT LEVEL,’ SAYS LEONARD

The Clippers vs Hornets game saw Harden, according to teammate Kawhi Leonard, “playing at a great level.”

Furthermore, Harden led the way with 31 points and 10 rebounds in the Clippers 123-88 rout of the Hornets at home.

Moreover, Leonard was not so bad himself with his 23 points.

But he’d rather talk about “The Beard” and his exploits.

“Obviously James has been playing at a great level. … It’s just been a collective group (effort),” Leonard said.

“We pretty much need to win these games,” he added.

LUE LAUDS LEONARD-ZUBAC FRONTLINE BOOSTS CLIPPERS’ OFFENSE

Clippers coach Tyronn Lue lauded the chemistry behind Leonard and center Ivica Zubac that has triggered LA’s resurgence.

Moreover, Zubac gave another double-double effort with 17 points, 14 rebounds, and a career-high eight assists in 28 minutes.

Furthermore, Leonard is not taking for granted his center’s passing ability.

“Like I said, if the other team is switching or if we need a basket, he’s able to relieve us and with his efficiency,” Leonard said of Zubac.

“The other team is seeing that and bringing two guys to him and he’s making the right play,” he added.

LA TRIES TO ‘FIT ALL THESE PIECES TOGETHER’ WITH BOGDANOVIC, SIMMONS

The Clippers (38-30), through Lue, continue to win as they integrate new recruits Bogdan Bogdanovic and Ben Simmons into the mix.

Furthermore, LA also welcomes the return of starting guard Norman Powell, who missed 12 games due to knee issues and a right hamstring injury.

Moreover, Lue is optimistic he can fit those three players into speed.

“Just trying to fit all these pieces together,” the Clippers coach said.

“We have (14) games to do it, which is more than enough time if we just lock in and understand what we’re trying to do,” he added.
