Furthermore, the manager of interim World Boxing Council super welterweight champion Vergil Ortiz (22-0, 21 KOs) admits the Nebraska native can't be forced to take on other notable fighters in his division. "He's going to go out and look for the biggest fight of the night and enjoy his life. He's a very smart man," Garcia said. "If he gets it (Canelo fight), he'll take it, but besides that, he may never fight again," he added. Crawford last fought on August 3 this year, when he defeated Israil Madrimov via unanimous decision. Moreover, Ortiz's trainer sees Crawford compete hard in the initial rounds only to be overwhelmed by the bigger Alvarez. "I think Crawford puts up some good rounds. The first six or eight rounds will be very competitive," Garcia said. "But eventually, Canelo will be too big and too strong," he added. However, fans who are still hoping to see Crawford fight other top contenders in the 154-lb division, like Ortiz, Sebastian Fundora, or Serhii Bohachuk, may end up disappointed.
