Ronaldo smashes YouTube records
The Al-Nassr forward made a bold move to become a content creator, and it has been paying off so far.
“The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey,” Ronaldo posted on Wednesday on his social media accounts.
Within the first 90 minutes, it had already surpassed 1 million subscribers, marking the fastest time a YouTube channel has ever reached that milestone.
Additionally, Ronaldo’s YouTube account hit 10 million subscribers within 24 hours—another world record!
Ronaldo’s massive influence
The rapid growth in subscribers only shows Ronaldo’s influence across the globe.
The 39-year-old is among the most followed personalities across social media platforms.
He has 112.5 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), 170 million on Facebook and, 636 million on Instagram.
Ronaldo has posted some short clips on his YouTube channel, including a teaser trailer of him rating his best Euro goals.
“I have always enjoyed having such a strong relationship with fans on social media. And my YouTube channel will give me an even bigger platform to do so and they will learn more about me, my family, and my views on many different subjects,” Ronaldo said in the channel’s launch announcement.
