The decisive moment came in the 39th minute when Sadio Manรฉ was fouled in the box, earning Al Nassr a penalty. Ronaldo stepped up and confidently struck the ball into the bottom-right corner, outsmarting the goalkeeper. After scoring, Ronaldo celebrated with his iconic spin and leap at the corner flag.

This goal marks the 917th of Ronaldo’s career in 1,256 official matches, a record recognized by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS). His streak of scoring in 24 consecutive years dates back to October 7, 2002, when a 17-year-old Ronaldo netted twice for Sporting CP in a 3-0 win over Moreirense.

Stellar Form in Saudi Arabia

Ronaldo has now scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 20 matches across all competitions this season. In the Saudi Pro League, he sits second in the Golden Boot race with 11 goals, just one behind Al Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitroviฤ‡.

Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has converted 21 of his 22 penalty attempts, with his only miss coming in the King’s Cup loss to Al Taawoun in October 2024.
