England emerged as the top Group C team in EURO 2024 despite settling for a 0-0 draw with Slovenia on Tuesday.

England settles for 0-0 draw with Slovenia in EURO 2024
Gareth Southgate’s side has yet to justify their billing as pre-tournament favorites after an underwhelming performance against Slovenia.
England only showed a glimpse of their mastery when Bukayo Saka’s strike ended up being ruled out for offside.
Manchester United teenager Kobbie Mainoo made an introduction for the Three Lions and displayed flashes of potential in the second half.
Southgate also subbed in Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon for the first time, hoping to claim a breakthrough.
England ended the group stage with five points, but only scored two goals in three games courtesy of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham.
Although already qualified for the round of 16, England has yet to make a statement in this tournament.
Meanwhile, Slovenia finished with three points in third spot.

England fans left frustrated
For the third game in a row, England fans were left frustrated, and this time they made their feelings known after the final whistle.
After the boos at the break, England coach Gareth Southgate defiantly applauded the fans as they booed and threw bottles at him.
“I understand it. I’m not going to back away from it,” Southgate said.
“The most important thing here is that the supporters stay with the team.”
