Erling Haaland’s Norway are now facing the danger of watching the 2024 Euro Finals from television, with the only option to progress now will be the play-offs.
Meanwhile, Scot McTominay’s Scotland have secured their tickets to Germany with Spain’s victory (1-0) in Norway. Gavi and Pedri sit atop Group A and will head to the Finals.

England sealed their ticket in fashion by beating Italy 3-1 at Wembley on 17 October to seal top spot in Group C.
It is all shaping up for a showdown between Ukraine and Italy in the final round of games in November, with Italy first facing a home game with North Macedonia – the side that beat them in the play-offs for the World Cup in 2022.
If Italy beat North Macedonia, Luciano Spalletti’s side will pip Ukraine to qualification should they avoid defeat in their final game.
However, if Italy do not beat North Macedonia, Ukraine will pip the Azzurri to qualification should they avoid defeat in their final game.

3 | Croatia | 6 | 6 | 10 |
4 | Armenia | 6 | -1 | 7 |
5 | Latvia | 7 | -12 | 3 |
Turkey hammered Latvia to seal their place in the Finals, while Wales now moved to second place in Group D with a win at home to Croatia.
Wales next play away against Armenia on 18 November before a last match at home to Turkey three days later.
The door still opens wide for Red Dragon even if they do not finish in the top two; they could have another chance to qualify as they are likely to go into the play-offs because of their results in the Nations League.

5 | Northern Ireland | 8 | -2 | 6 |
6 | San Marino | 8 | -25 | 0 |
Northern Ireland’s hopes of qualifying from Group H are done and out.
Losses in Slovenia and Kazakhstan during the most recent international break have left them with six points from seven games and 10 points behind the top two Slovenia and Denmark.
In the next round of fixtures, Denmark host Slovenia. The winner will ensure qualification. Both will be in Germany if third-placed Kazakhstan lose to San Marino.

4 | Republic of Ireland | 7 | 0 | 6 |
5 | Gibraltar | 6 | -21 | 0 |
The Republic of Ireland cannot qualify after Friday’s 2-0 home loss to Greece, which ensures they can no longer finish in the top two.
Their only hope for qualification, which is a slim one, is that they can take part in the play-offs because of their Nations League performance, but they need results to go their way and, as it stands, are set to miss out and will not reach Euro 2024.
France’s 2-1 victory over the Netherlands maintained their 100% record, and they have qualified for the finals.
Despite that loss, the Netherlands are now favourites to clinch second place behind them in the group after a last-gasp victory in Greece on Monday.

Who else but Cristiano Ronaldo to put Portugal through to the finals in Germany. The legendary striker scored a brace in a 5-0 victory over Bosnia. The 2016 champions won all eight games so far and grabbed their first place with no difficulties.
Slovakia are in pole position to join Portugal in Germany after a narrow 1-0 win at Luxembourg left them five points clear of their opponents with two games left.
But each nation plays 10 matches in this group, so qualification for second place goes down to the final two rounds in November.
