Rangers fan dies due to accident
According to local reports, a car struck Mr. Potter while he was attempting to cross a road at approximately 4:30 AM local time.
The incident occurred near the Scotland’s Naval Museum after he withdrew money from an ATM on his way back to his hotel.

Eyewitnesses reported that one vehicle hit Mr. Potter before another ran over him.
The Daily Record reports that authorities have launched an investigation into the accident.
Rangers, Fenerbahce express their condolences
Rangers confirmed the passing of Mr. Potter in ther website.
“We are devastated to have learned of the passing of one of our supporters in a road traffic accident overnight in Istanbul,” the club said in a statement.
“The immediate thoughts of everyone at the club are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”
“We are remaining in constant contact with both the Turkish and British authorities over this tragic incident.”

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce called the news “heartbreaking” and offered its condolences.
“Our heartfelt sympathies and condolences go out to his family, Rangers FC, and their community,” it said.
Rangers play Fenerbahce in the first leg of their round-of-16 tie at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
