FIFA WORLD CUP 2026 OFFICIAL HOST CITY POSTER UNVEILED
The FIFA World Cup 2026 official host city poster was unveiled on Tuesday, with a Toronto-based artist chosen to unveil his masterpiece.
Furthermore, illustrator Dave Murray was picked from a poll of more than 550 applicants to commission the city’s official poster.
Moreover, the City of Toronto described the poster as capturing “the energy and passion that define both the city and the world’s most popular sporting event.”
This marks the first time that posters specific to each host city will be included in the FIFA World Cup.
Toronto is scheduled to host its first-ever World Cup match in Canada on June 12, 2026.

Murray’s equipped with his work in the 2024 MLB (Major League Baseball) Post-season and World Series.
Moreover, the artist based on Toronto’s west end also featured his recent work in the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off.
Furthermore, the poster showed “a player in motion, emblazoned with a stylized red maple leaf, preparing to strike.”
The poster cited the need to grow football across Toronto, Ontario, and Canada as a whole.
Additionally, a soccer ball positioned over downtown Toronto, which marked the BMO Field’s location, highlights the city’s shoreline.
ARTIST TAKES PRIDE TO SHOWCASE WORK FOR FIFA WORLD CUP 2026
The artist took pride to showcase his work for the FIFA World Cup 2026 official poster for Toronto.
Furthermore, Murray described combining “sport and art for the World Cup” is “incredible.”
Moreover, he expressed delight that Toronto will finally get a chance to host the World Cup.
“I’m unbelievably thrilled, proud, and honoured to be able to reveal my official host city poster for the 2026 @fifaworldcup, here in Toronto,” Murrat said on Instagram.
“Being able to combine sport and art for the World Cup is incredible, made even more special that it’s coming here, to the city I live in and love,” he added.
