Inter Milan 2-1 Fiorentina – Serie A’s late game ended in sweet revenge for Inzaghi’s side

In Italy, Inter Milan finally avenged Fiorentina with a hard-fought 2-1 win at home. Just days after a crushing 0-3 defeat at Fiorentina’s ground, Simone Inzaghi’s side showed true determination. From the opening whistle, Inter pressed relentlessly. In the 28th minute, a mix-up led to Pongracic accidentally heading the ball into his own net from a corner, putting Fiorentina ahead.

Before the break, a handball by Matteo Darmian in the box earned Fiorentina a penalty, and Mandragora coolly converted to level things at 1-1. But Inter weren’t done. Early in the second half, Marko Arnautovic fired in a goal to secure a 2-1 victory, narrowing the gap at the top with league leaders Napoli to just one point.

Although Eagles took a while to get on the scoreboard, they eventually broke the deadlock in the 31st minute after Daichi Kamada’s clever free-kick set up Daniel Munoz. Doncaster tried to fight back, but their hopes were dashed in the 55th minute when Justin Devenny finished a neat move from a Will Hughes pass. That goal sealed the win and sent Palace through to the fifth round of the FA Cup, joining the ranks of other top-flight teams progressing in the competition.

Mallorca and Osasuna shared points at La Liga

In La Liga, the action was just as exciting. Mallorca and Osasuna played out a 1-1 draw in the latest round. Mallorca, who have been struggling with a long winless run, finally broke the deadlock in the 81st minute when Muriqi converted a penalty after being fouled in the box.
