Anthony voted into the Hall of Fame
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Melo received the news on Wednesday that he will be inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame as a first-ballot selection.
Anthony joined fellow former NBA players Dwight Howard, Buck Williams, and Marques Johnson as a Hall of Fame finalist.

The full Class of 2025 will be announced during a ceremony at the NCAA Final Four on April 5.
The forward built a strong resume over his 19-year career, cementing his status as a household name in the NBA.
Melo’s legacy
Anthony made his one-and-done season at Syracuse count, leading the Orange to the 2003 NCAA championship and earning Most Outstanding Player honors.
In the legendary 2003 NBA Draft, the Denver Nuggets selected Anthony with the third overall pick.
Melo went on to star for 19 seasons in the NBA with the Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers.
Anthony was a 10-time All-Star and six-time All-NBA selection.
In addition, he won the 2012-13 NBA scoring title during his stint with the Knicks.

In 2021, the NBA named Anthony to its 75th Anniversary Team, and he retired with the Lakers in 2022.
For his career, he averaged 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 1,260 regular-season games.
Anthony is 10th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, with 28,289 career points.
Although he never won a championship or even play in the NBA Finals, Anthony won multiple medals in the international stage.
Melo won three consecutive Olympic gold medals in 2008, 2012, and 2016 with Team USA.
Overall, Anthony established himself as one of the league’s premier scorers.
Anthony will join his fellow 2003 draft classmates, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, when he is officially inducted into the Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
