GREEN ADVISES WARRIORS FROM MAKING FURTHER BAD TRADES

Furthermore, Green advises the Warriors from making potential major trades that could hurt the long-term effects on the organization.

The mercurial forward told former NBA guard Jeff Teague’s “Club 520 Podcast” that the trades’ impact on the organization still matters.

“In doing what we’ve done, there’s still a care for the organization. I’ve always spoken to y’all from s place of what’s best for this organization,” Green said.

“I won’t stop now. That’s a bad trade, like don’t do that trade. I disagree with it, although it’s going to help me right now,” he added.

Moreover, Green spoke to Teague on his podcast about the Warriors’ state after Golden State waived veteran point guard Chris Paul and traded sharpshooter Klay Thompson.

Paul was taken by the San Antonio Spurs, while Thompson was traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

THOMPSON TRADE MADE TO RELIEVE GOLDEN STATE OF ‘FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS,’ SAYS GREEN

Moreover, the Thompson trade was made to relieve Golden State of its “financial hardships,” says Green.

The 34-year-old forward is convinced that Thompson may have done the Warriors a favor as he sought a fresh start with Dallas.

“What Klay just did is relieve this organization of the financial hardships” the (Warriors) were about to face, Green said.

“You still do it for the organization, but nobody will say that,” he added.

Furthermore, Thompson parted ways with his “Splash Brother” Stephen Curry after playing for 13 years with the Warriors.

MARKKANEN, LAVINE, INGRAM COULD BE POTENTIAL TRADES GREEN MIGHT REFER TO

Furthermore, Green never mentioned any specific trades he advised Golden State to avoid from pushing the trigger.

However, there are three possible players the Warriors may have been monitoring on their radar this offseason.

Chicago Bulls guard Zach Lavine or New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram may be some pieces the Warriors may use to complement Curry and Green.

Moreover, Golden State remains to be connected to rumors of trading for Utah Jazz big man Lauri Markkannen.

“We was just about to make some trades last week and I told them straight up, ‘Yo, that trade will help me,” Green recalled.

“It’ll help me right now in my career these last couple years and Steph (Curry),” he added.

Meanwhile, Utah Jazz executive Danny Ainge reportedly wants one or two of Golden State’s promising young core Jonathan Kuminga or Brandin Podziemski, and draft picks for Markkanen.

However, that trade might have to wait as Green would have none of it.

Additionally, the Warriors are not keen to part with either Kuminga, Podziemski or even guard Moses Moody for now.
