HEAT VS WARRIORS GAME MARKS BUTLER RETURN IN MIAMI; GAME ENDS IN DUD

The Heat vs Warriors game marked Butler’s return in Miami since he was dealt to the Dubs just before the trade deadline last month.

Furthermore, the All-Star forward scored only 11 points and can’t save Golden State (41-31) from a 112-86 beating from his former team.

Moreover, Butler still received a video tribute amid mixed reactions from the fans.

He did not lived the hype the whole game, as he struggled to just a 5-of-12 shooting but he added six rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes.

Miami (31-41) seemed to follow a team policy to provide video tributes for former players who won an NBA title with the team or were All-Stars despite Butler’s unceremonious exit.

CURRY OUT IN GAME-TIME DECISION

The absence of Stephen Curry took out the luster of what could be an exciting match for Butler against his former team.

Moreover, the All-Star pointguard was given time to recover from a pelvic contusion he sustained in the Dubs’ win over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday.

Furthermore, Warriors coach Steve Kerr disclosed Curry felt something during his individual workout on Monday.

“Knowing the schedule, knowing we’ve got the next two days off, I think it’ll be a full week when he returns. We expect him to return into New Orleans,” Kerr said.

“We’ll see … a full week off and that could really take care of the injury and regenerate, recharge his batteries. So I think that’s a good plan,” he added.

ADEBAYO, HERRO SPOIL BUTLER’S NIGHT IN MIAMI

Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro played a big part in spoiling Butler’s return in Miami.

Furthermore, Adebayo scored 27 points, while Herro had 20 points to lead the Heat’s one-sided victory.

Moreover, the Heat went 17 for 25 from three-point range, with Herro hitting four treys.

Alec Burks fired 17 points, including 5-of-7 from deep, for Miami, which got 10 points from ex-Warrior Andrew Wiggins.

Jonathan Kuminga finished with 15 points off-the-bench, while Brandin Podziemski added 14 for the Warriors.
