INDIA OUT TO SEAL T20I SERIES AGAINST ENGLAND AFTER TWO-WICKET WIN

India is out to seal its Twenty20 International (T20I) series against England.

This came after the hosts’ pocketed a two-wicket win on Saturday.

Furthermore, captain Suryakumar Yadav is looking to keep the hosts’s strtegy of playing with eight batters after the ploy worked in Chennai.

Moreover, Suryakumar expects Ravi Bishnoi and Vrun Chakraravarthy to shine in middle overs, while being open for the hosts to use five spin options in Tuesday’s Test.

“We’ve been playing with an extra batter since the last two-three series,” the India captain said.

“We want that cushion and also that batter gives us two-three overs in the game,” he added.

VARMA’S 55-OVER STANDS OUT FOR INDIA AS HOSTS CLAIM FIRST TWO TESTS

Tilak Varma came through with his 55-ball knock.

That stood out for India to enable the hosts claim the first two Tests on home soil.

Moreover, Varma’s exploits helped India get four balls to spare in their Chennai Test and move them up 2-0.

Furthermore, Bishnoi hit two fours in his unbeaten nine to back up Varma, who had four fours and five sixes.

“Good to see we are playing aggressive brand of cricket, at the same time, guys put their hands up and stitched the small partnerships,” Suryakumar said.

“Very happy with the way Tilak (Varma) batted, something to learn for everyone,” he added.

ENGLAND SKIPPER LAUDS VARMA PERFORMANCE, STILL OUT TO WIN

England skipper Jos Buttler lauded Varma for his exceptional performance.

Moreover, the 34-year-old wicket-keeper-batsman found some solace in fast bowler Brydon Carse.

It was Carse who returned figures of 3-29 to pose some problems to India.

Furthermore, the captain saw India slips to 146-8 before Varmi hung tough against Bishnoi to hit the wining tournament .
