Inoue set for Vegas fight, gets flak for avoiding Akhmadaliev

INOUE SET FOR LAS VEGAS, SAUDI ARABIA FIGHTS FOR 2025, EYES PICCASSO NEXT

Inoue is set for fights in Las Vegas and Saudi Arabia this year after hosting several major bouts in his native Japan.

Furthermore, the Japanese undisputed super bantamweight champion is looking forward to take his act outside Japan in four years.

Moreover, the fighter also known as “Monster” last fought in Las Vegas in 2021, when he knocked out Michael Dasmarinas in thrree rounds to defend his world bantamweight titles.

“Yes, 2025 will be a big year for me to go to overseas countries to have a fight. In spring of 2025, I’ll be going to Las Vegas to show you the great match,” Inoue (29-0, 26 KOs) said.

“I am planning to have fights in Las Vegas and Saudi Arabia this year,” he added.

‘MONSTER’ EYES MEXICAN PICASSO FOR NEXT FIGHT; NAKATANI ALSO LINED UP

“Monster” eyes Mexican Alan Picasso (31-0-1, 17 KOs) for his next title fight possibly in Vegas.

Moreover, the 31-year-old champion is also being lined up for a mega-fight with compatriot and fellow champion Junto Nakatani.

In remains uncertain if “Monster” faces Nakatani in Riyadh or back in Japan late this year or early 2026.

Inoue is ready to move on fter his fourth round knockout victory over South Korean Ye Joon Kim (21-3-2, 13 KOs) at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Friday.

“I am so happy to see all the people around the world watching me,” he said moments after the fight.

Furthermore, the Japanese undisputed two-division champion is getting flak for avoiding mandatory challenger Murodjon Akhmadaliev for his next bout.

Moreover, promoter Eddie Hearn won’t be surprised that Inoue will vacate his World Boxing Association (WBA) 122-.lb belt to avoid fighting Akhmadaliev (13-1, 10 KOs).

The promoter is aware that the WBA will ask Inoue to fight the 30-yer-old Uzbekistan fighter or vacate the throne.

“Naoya Inoue is straight ducking Murodjon Akhmadaliev. He’s been ordered to fight him twice,” Hearn told talkSport Boxing.

“He’s had two gimme fights (Joon and TJ Doheny) instead of fighting Akhmadaliev,” he added.
