ITALY RELEASES CALAFIORI TO ARSENAL AFTER BIZARRE INJURY

Furthermore, Italy released Calafiori to Arsenal after he suffered a bizarre injury in the Azzurri’s 3-1 away victory at France on Friday.

Moreover, the 22-year-old winger was hit by Ousmane Dembele in the second half when he fell under Alessandro Bastoni’s challenge.

Calafiori still played for a few moments despite the injury.

He was later removed from the field and underwent treatment.

However, the center-back was said to be not fit enough to train with his Italy teammates during the weekend.

Arsenal was also optimistic that the decision on Calafiori was just a precautionary measure.

The club is looking for Calafiori to action soon, as the Gunners face a bumper fixture schedule.

Furthermore, the Gunners are lined up to face Tottenham next Sunday to start a tight schedule.

Calafioiri joined Arsenal in the summer from Bologna and has already played two matches off the bench.

The center-back made an appearance in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory at Aston Villa.

He would later play in the last half-an-hour in the Gunners’ controversial 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Calafiori has yet to start at an Arsenal match under manager Mikel Arteta.
