Joao Felix sent off in forgettable debut

Joao Felix sent off in forgettable debut as the Chelsea’s new signing received straight red card during the club’s defeat to Fulham in Premier League.

The 23-year-old was handed a start by Graham Potter for the trip to Craven Cottage despite only securing his temporary move from Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

The London club spent £10m on Joao Felix for 20 league games as loan signing until the end of the current season, and on his debut he’s gone and got sent off and suspended for 3 games.

This was obviously a red card offense.

It was a nightmare for both Chelsea and Felix

Felix showed numerous touches of class throughout the first half and managed to take six shots at Bernd Leno, but it did not end well for the former Benfica striker.

In the 55th minute, Felix pulled a dangerous tackle on Fulham’s defender Kenny Tete. Referee David Coote did not hesitate to show the forward a straight red.

Fulham went on to win the game with Carlos Vinicius heading his first Fulham goal in the 73rd minute.

It could not be worse for The Blues with the run of 4 straight games without a victory, Graham Potter is in even hotter spot now with sacking imminent.
