Signed for €35m at 21 years old, 647 games, 354 goals, 165 assists, 25 titles & 1 Ballon d’Or, Karim Benzema officially ends his Real Madrid career.
His last game for Los Blancos were the La Liga 2022/23 final matchday as he scored from the penalty to help the club finish second.
Benzema reached his final month of the contract and now is on the market as free-agent player.
According to the transfer guru from Italia Romano, Benzema has signed main part of docs to become new Al Ittihad player joining the Saudi league.
The contract will be valid until 2025 but will also include option for further season. Karim will say goodbye to Madrid fans then travel to Saudi.
Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed about Benzema’s decision:
“Benzema told us about his decision to leave the club this morning, it was really unexpected”.
“His departure was surprising, now we have time to think about what we should do. We will sign strikers”.
Al Ittihad is building up a strong squad
According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo’s rivals Al Ittihad are looking at heavy reinforcement this Summer. The Saudi Arabian club is are reportedly chasing after Sergio Ramos, who has just left Paris Saint-Germain and is now free-agent.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s star N’Golo Kante is also a target for the club who is 1st at the league.
