KERR GETS BOOED BY CELTICS FANS FOR TATUM PLAYING TIME IN OLYMPICS
Kerr gets booed by Celtics fans for the way Jayson Tatum’s playing time was limited at the Paris Olympics.
Furthermore, the Warriors coach insisted he never enjoyed benching Tatum or any of the Team USA players during their time in Paris.
Additionally, Kerr also benched Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid in one game during their gold medal-winning run.
“I don’t give it a whole lot of thought other than I didn’t enjoy playing Jayson against Serbia, not playing Joel (Embiid) against South Sudan,” Kerr said.
“Those are not fun decisions, but our guys were all amazing,” he added.
DUBS COACH DIDN’T ‘ACTUALLY CARED ABOUT ME TO BOO ME’
Moreover, the Dubs coach didn’t “actually cared about me to boo me” when asked about the reception he got in Boston.
“I don’t think anybody actually cared about me to boo me,” he said.
Tatum went off for 32 points, but the Celtics lost 112-118 to Kerr’s Warriors.
Stephen Curry, Tatum’s teammate with Team USA in Paris, led five Warriors in double figures with 27 points.
CELTICS MISS BROWN BUT WARRIORS’ DEPTH SHOWED IN BIG GAME
Furthermore, the Celtics missed Jaylen Brown, who missed his third-straight game with a strained left hip flexor.
Moreover, the Warriors’ depth showed in a big game after five players scored in double figures.
Andrew Wiggins and Buddy Hield scored 16 points each, Kyle Anderscored fired 11, while Jonathan Kuminga added 10 for the Dubs.
Additionally, during the game, Curry passed retired legend Charles Barkley for No.30 on the league’s all-time scoring list.
Kerr may not get the love among Celtics fans, but he got the win in Boston nonetheless.
