Real Madrid new star Kylian Mbappe is under investigation for rape in Sweden, according to reports from local outlet Expressen.
The shocking news came out today as Swedish media outlet Expressen reported that local police are investigating the former Paris Saint-Germain striker following a rape allegation.
The 25-year-old French forward is accused of rape and sexual molestation during his trip to Stockholm last week.
Mbapp under-investigation for rape allegation
According to Expressen, Mbappe visited a nightclub on the night his national team, France, secured a UEFA Nations League victory over Israel. At this nightclub, Mbappe is reported to have been involved in a sexual assault.

The reporting notes that Mbappe had dinner at Chez Jolie, a restaurant in Stockholm’s upscale Östermalm district, before heading to a nearby nightclub called “V.”
Expressen also revealed from a police report that the alleged sexual assault occurred on Thursday, October 10th. The incident was reported to the police two days later.
“This is a matter which is now being headed by a prosecutor,” says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl. “I will not comment further but rather refer to the prosecutor’s office.”
His representatives also told AFP they are unaware of the allegations and vigorously deny the false accusations. Mbappe and the complainant are set to be questioned soon, while Real Madrid finds itself in a crisis.
