KYRGIOS THROUGH AFTER BEATING MCDONALD, POSTS FIRST WIN IN NEARLY 3 YEARS

“I was in a cast for 12 weeks. Couldn’t move my wrist. And the surgeons were saying I’d never play again,” Kyrgios said.
“But I don’t think it’s really sunk it that I was in a place where I couldn’t hit a fluffy tennis ball to now beating a solid player,” he added.
ALCARAZ BRACES FOR ANOTHER EARLY DJOKOVIC CLASH IN SOUTH FLORIDA
Meanwhile, Alcaraz braces for another early clash against Djokovic in South Florida.
Furthermore, the 21-year-old Spanish world No.3 is in the same draw in Miami as Djokovic, meaning they won’t play each other in a final.
Moreover, he welcomed any matchup against the Serbian former world No.1 in any round of any tournament despite losing to him in the Australian Open quarterfinals in January.
“We’re on the same side of the draw, hopefully we’ll both reach the semifinals,” Alcaraz said.
“As I said before, these are the matches that attract tennis fans because I think every time we play it’s fun to watch,” he added.
