Cucurella shuts down Barcelona return rumors
Chelsea paid £62m to sign the Spanish international from Brighton in the summer of 2022.
Cucurella has added goals to his game this season, becoming a threat in both boxes.
He recently scored in back-to-back Premier League games against Southampton and Leicester.
Currently with the Spain squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League match against the Netherlands, the defender was asked whether he considers returning to Barcelona, where he began his career.

“The truth is, I’m not thinking about it right now, I mean, I’m fine where I am and all, I’m enjoying the moment,” he said as quoted by Sport.
“The truth is, I think they’re happier than I am in London. I really like living there and they’re very comfortable, and time is a bit of a killer, but I think for a few years’ experience.”
“I mean, never say never, right? I don’t think I’d stay there forever, but for a few more years, well, I’m very happy.”
“I like to watch Barca”
Cucurella spent eight years at FC Barcelona, joining the famed La Masia academy from Espanyol in 2012.
The left-back progressed through the ranks but made only one senior appearance for the Catalan club.
He had loan spells at Eibar and Getafe before joining the latter permanently in 2020.
Despite not having played for Barca in several years, Cucurella admitted that he still follows his former club closely and enjoys how they are playing under Hansi Flick this season.

“I like to watch Barca. Especially now, this year. It’s a lot of fun to watch. Because a lot of things happen and they play very offensively. “
“I don’t watch them every game, but from time to time I put them on TV and I watch them,” said the defender.”
