Saudi Arabia transfer: Done deals and who’s next
Marcelo Brozovic to Al-Nassr is “HERE WE GO” done.
It is almost certain that Inter Milan’s star Brozovic will not be a Barcelona player next season, despite the 30-year-old’s previous willingness to join the La Liga champions.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Brozovic has agreed to personal terms with Al-Nassr, which will link him up with Cristiano Ronaldo.
It was a shocking move from the Croatian midfielder since he had previously turned down an approach from the Saudi club, but he has now opted for the transfer.
Details of Brozovic’s deal with Al-Nassr
- 3-year contract
- €23m fee to Inter
- €100m total salary to Brozović
Brozovic is only one of the done deals which see top players from top European leagues moving away from elite football and joining the new and rising championships in the Middle East.
Chelsea’s trio Edouardo Mendy, N’Golo Kante, and Kalidou Koulibaly, Real Madrid’s 2021/22 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema officially joined Saudi Pro League with different sides.
Meanwhile, Barca must move on with their pursuit of a Sergio Busquets replacement, which has been particularly difficult so far.
