Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United is uncertain, even though he has turned down three massive offers from Saudi Arabia.

These offers, reportedly worth up to £35 million per year, far exceed his current £315,000-a-week contract with United. However, Rashford has made it clear that he is not interested in a move to Saudi Arabia or Turkey. Instead, he is focused on joining a competitive team and league that can help him revive his career and regain a spot in the England squad.

The 27-year-old forward last represented England in a friendly against Brazil in March. National team coach Thomas Tuchel left him out of the Euro 2024 squad. Rashford is determined to work his way back into contention for international duty and sees regular, high-level football as key to achieving that goal.

Despite expressing his readiness for a “new challenge” in his career, Rashford is still open to staying at Manchester United, under contract until June 2028. Sources close to the player say he remains committed to giving his best for the team if given the opportunity. However, after 20 years with his boyhood club, Rashford’s time at United may end.

New United manager Ruben Amorim has dropped Rashford from the squad for the past five games, including the Manchester derby. Rashford was an unused substitute in Monday’s 2-0 defeat against Newcastle, leaving teammates surprised, given that he remains the club’s joint-top scorer in the Premier League this season with four goals.

Despite this, the club is reportedly willing to listen to offers for him during the January transfer window to comply with financial sustainability rules. A loan move is also being considered, provided the new club can pay a fee and cover most of his wages.

Rashford has been a standout performer against Liverpool, scoring more goals against them than any other Premier League team.
