Mason Greenwood on the move
Greenwood was announced as Getafe’s MVP after an impressive loan spell with the La Liga side that saw him bag ten goals in 36 appearances. The stats were impressive, with the English striker missing out on competitive football for 20 months due to a domestic violent lawsuit, which almost destroyed his career.
In February last year, the Crown Prosecution Service announced that charges of attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and controlling and coercive behaviour against Greenwood had been dropped after critical witnesses withdrew and new material came to light.
The 22-year-old showed appreciation with Getafe and is now heading back to Old Trafford.
However, the Red Devils have no plan to keep Greenwood and are now opting to sell him for reinforcement in the Summer.
Dortmund, the UCL finalist this season, is rumoured to have had exploratory discussions with United about a potential loan deal for Greenwood. The player has also been the subject of enquiries from at least two Premier League clubs and garnered interest in Spain and Italy.
