Mason Mount updates
United had a third bid worth £55m rejected last week but have now agreed to pay an initial fee of £55m plus £5m in difficult add-ons.
The English superstar will undergo medical tests on Monday, and then he will finally sign a five-year deal as a new Manchester United player.

Contract details and salary
He will sign a contract until 2028 at United, with the option for a further year.
The contract will be valid until June 2028, a five-year deal agreed weeks ago—fee: £55m fixed plus £5m add-ons.
The 2022/23 season was difficult for Mount, who contributed just three goals and two assists in 24 Premier League appearances. The campaign was injury-hit and went on amid rumblings over a new Chelsea contract.
Joining the Manchester club will improve Mount’s salary significantly. He earns £80,000-a-week wages at Chelsea, which puts him outside the top 20 earners at the club.
Mount reportedly rejected an offer of around £200,000 per week in November, partly because Raheem Sterling (£325,000 per week) and Reece James (£250,000 per week) were pulling in significantly more.
His move to United will see Mount move level with some of his peers. It’s reported that Mount will be paid a basic wage of £250,000-a-week, while bonuses could push that figure up to £300,000-a-week.
The now-free-agent David de Gea’s contract is worth £375,000. That is the same amount Marcus Rashford could earn if his new deal is confirmed.
While the headline fee is £60m, United will only have to pay that amount if they embark on a hugely successful few seasons with Ten Hag. Per GOAL, United will only end up paying the £5m if they win the Premier League title or Champions League multiple times with Mount at the club.
Mount made 195 appearances for Chelsea, contributing 33 goals and 37 assists. He won the club’s Player of the Season award twice and will leave a club in a rebuilding phase under Mauricio Pochettino.
