Mbappe joins Real Madrid
Real Madrid took no time to escalate the excitement for the fans as they signed Mbappe, one of the best players of modern times, only 24 hours after clinching the 15th Champions League title.
According to sources, Mbappe joined Madrid on a free transfer when his PSG deal expired on June 30th.
The 25-year-old striker will move to Spain when the La Liga transfer window activates on July 1st.
Los Blancos will announce the deal next week and present Mbappe before Euro 2024, where the player represents France.
Mbappe left PSG and is dealing with some issues regarding the salary and bonus with the Ligue 1 side.
It was just a matter of time for the 2018 World Cup winner to join the 3.0 Galacticos. Mbappe is PSG’s record goalscorer with 256 goals and has enjoyed decorated spells with titles, except for the Champions League.
The France striker verbally agreed to move to the Bernabeu in February and then announced in May he would leave PSG at the end of the season.
Mbappe’s contract details with Madrid
He has agreed a deal with Real until 2029, earning 15m euros (£12.8m) a season plus a 150m euro (£128m) signing-on bonus to be paid over five years. He will keep a percentage of his image rights.
Real will hold a trophy parade through the Spanish capital on Sunday night following their record-extending success.
