Salah wants Van Dijk to stay in Liverpool
Salah, 32, has committed his future to the Reds by signing a two-year deal that will keep him at the Merseyside club until at least 2027.
There is also growing optimism on Merseyside that Van Dijk, whose current contract expires this summer, will follow suit and extend his stay.
The captain played a decisive role in Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over West Ham United on Sunday, scoring the winning goal.
Meanwhile, Salah set a new Premier League record by reaching 45 goal involvements in a single season.
After the match, the Egypt international publicly urged Van Dijk to remain at Anfield.

“I am glad we managed to do that [contract] before the end of the season,” Salah said.
“Hopefully, Virgil will be next. He can do whatever he wants, but I would love to play with him next season.”
“I love this club”
Meanwhile, Van Dijk played his 100th game for Liverpool.
Liverpool need a maximum of six points from their remaining six games and could secure the Premier League title as early as next weekend, depending on other results.

“I am very proud to captain my 100th game for Liverpool,” Van Dijk told Sky Sports when questioned about his future.
“That was the main focus, get three points and a step closer to all of our dreams. Not just us as players and staff but everyone connected to Liverpool FC.”
“Everyone knows I love this club and let’s see what next week will look like.”
