MURRAY’S 55 POINTS GETS PRAISE FROM MALONE AFTER NUGGETS RIP BLAZERS

Murray’s 55 points gets praise from Malone after the Nuggets ripped the Portland Trail Blazers, 132-121, at home.

Furthermore, the coach compared his top pointguard’s career-high effort to other players who also reached or topped that mark.

Moreover, Malone noted that the difference was Murray’s performance was “fantastic” because of the guard’s efficency throughout the game.

“Jamal was fantastic from beginning to end. Fifty-five points, and a very efficient 55,” Malone said after the game.

“I’ve seen a lot of guys put up big games, and not in the most efficient manner,” he added.

MALONE RAVES AT CANADIAN GUARD’S NUMBERS DESPITE PLENTY OF SHOTS

Malone raved at his Canadian pointguard’s impressive numbers despite hoisting a good number of shots.

Moreover, Murray was 20-of-36 from the field, 7-of-15 from three-point range, and 8-for-9 from the stripe.

Furthermore, the guard lso chipped in four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 42 minutes for good measure.

“”I shot the ball well, but they were hunting for me to get the ball and really rooting for me to go get it,” Murray said.

“I’ve been here for nine years, so for me it’s just years of chemistry with those guys and they know me, I know them, and tonight was just them looking out for me,” he added.

JOKIC TRIPLE-DOUBLE NOT LOST ON MALONE

Nikola Jokic’s triple-double was not lost on Malone, and he made sure the public knows that.

Furthermore, the Serbian All-Star center finished with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists in 36 minutes.

Moreover, Jokic’s 25 triple-doubles before the All-Star break are trhew third most after Oscar Robertson (28) in the 1961-62 season and teammate Russell Westbrook (27) in 2016-17.

“Please, let’s never take Nikola’s greatness for granted. We are witnessing history every single night,” Malone said.

“I don’t take it for granted. He’s incredible, and I really feel fortunate and blessed to have coached him for 10 years now,” he added.
