NBA ALL-STAR GAME 2025 TO MISS JAMES DUE TO DISCOMFORT IN FOOT, ANKLE
The NBA All-Star Game on Sunday will miss James due to discomfort to his left foot and ankle.
Furthermore, the 40-year-old veteran also missed the Los Angeles Lakers’ last game against the Indiana Pacers before All-Star weekend due to the same injuries.
Furthermore, James thought he could shake off the discomfort before Sunday’s game.
“I was hoping it would feel a lot better this morning (Sunday), but it was not where I wanted it to be,” the 22-year veteran said.
He hopes he can play in the Lakers’ (32-20) next game against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
JAMES JOINS DAVIS, ANTETOKOUNMPO IN SIDELINES
James thus joins former teammate Anthony Davis and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo among the major absences this year.
Moreover, Davis was reported out since last week.
Davis was a major piece in the Luka Doncic trade completed by the Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks two weeks ago.
Furthermore, Antetokounmpo also had to be replaced by Atlanta Hawks’ guard Trae Young on Team Chuck also due to an injury.
Meanwhile, James only made the announcement of his absence two hours before the game.
This means the NBA will not name a substitute player in his place.
