NFL DECISION ON ALLOWING STARS TO PLAY IN LA OLYMPICS TO HAPPEN SOON: COMMISSIONER

An NFL decision on allowing its stars to play at the LA Olympics, Goodell confirmed, is expected to happen soon.

Furthermore, the commissioner made the assurance at the NFL’s Annual League Meeting in Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday.

Moreover, Goodell wants all parties will be on the same page before the league makes a decision.

“I think that’s something that we’ll continue to discuss with, not just the union, but also the clubs,” Goodell told The Associated Press Tuesday.

“I think both of those are things that we’ll probably resolve sometime in the next 60 days,” he added.

NFL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION, CURRENT AND FORMER PLAYERS URGED TO JOIN IN NEGOTIATIONS

The NFL (National Football League) also announced that its players’ association, as well as current and former players are urged to join negotiations.

Moreover, anticipation to the NFL’s decision rose since flag football is approved at the LA Games.

Furthermore, Goodell is aware that NFL players worldwide are monitoring the league’s stand on the issue.

“I’ve heard directly from a lot of players who want to participate and represent their country,” the commissioner said.

“The Olympics is a critical moment for us in the flag development on a global basis,” he added.

Several NFL stars have sent their willingness to represent their country to the LA Games.

Furthermore, Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow are some of the stars who welcomed the idea.

Moreover, Goodell noted that the NFL seeks to promote flag football on its Olympic debut.

“The Olympics are the pinnacle of international sport,” the NFL commissioner said.

“For us to be able to participate in that, to have both men’s and women’s flag teams participating in that from around the world, is a significant moment for us,” he added.
