PAUL, TYSON SUSPENDED TO COMPLY TDLR RULES, ASSURE SAFETY OF BOXERS
Paul and Tyson were suspended to comply with rules from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Furthermore, TDLR rules stipulate that each fighter must rest for at least days per round that they fought.
Moreover, Paul and Tyson fought for the full eight rounds in Arlington on Saturday, where the YouTuber won via unanimous decision.
This is the reason why both fighters are suspended for 24 days.
Multiple reports described the TDLR decision as a medical suspension, which was stipulated in the contract to ensure the boxers’ safety.
TDLR OFFERS HEARING REQUEST OPTION IF BOXERS DISAGREE WITH SUSPENSION
Moreover, the TDLR offers an option to request a hearing if any of the boxers disagree with the suspension.
Furthermore, the agency welcomes any of the representatives from the two camps who will appeal the decision.
“Medical disqualification of a contestant is for their own safety and may be made at the recommendation of the examining physician or TDLR,” the agency said.
Either Paul or Tyson’s camp “may request a hearing to show proof of fitness,” it added.
The two fighters fought before an estimated 70,000 fans at the AT& T Stadium in Arlington.
NO ‘RIGGING’ HAPPENED DURING FIGHT AMID MULTIPLE CLAIMS, PAUL’S CAMP INSISTS
Furthermore, there was no “riggging” that happened during the fight amid multiple claims by fans, Paul’s camp insisted.
Moreover, Paul went on to apologize to the fans for not knocking out Tyson throughout the bout.
“I’m sorry I didn’t knock him (Tyson) out. After I’d seen him tired, I didn’t want to put too much hurt on him,” Paul said.
“But I wanted the fans to get a good experience. I love Mike,” he added.
Meanwhile, Paul will have to wait for his promising future, after the 28-year-old
