On the other hand, India won the CT2025 title over New Zealand in the final.
“It was a result of mismanagement on part of the ICC and everyone knows who’s involved in it,” Sumair said.
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi told Sumair to go to Dubai for the final.
NO RESPONSE FROM ICC FOR EXPLANATION: SUMAIR
There was no response from the ICC a few days after the finals ceremony.
Moreover, Sumair disclosed that the PCB asked to the ICC for an explanation.
Furthermore, offficials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and New Zealand Cricket were there.

ICC THANKED PCB BUT IGNORED SUMAIR ABSENCE
The ICC thanked the PCB but ignored Sumair absence in their statement days after the final.
Furthermore, ICC CEO Geoff Allardice focused the statement on hailing Pakistan for hosting the tournament from February 19 to March 19.
Moreover, the ICC official recognized the CT2025’s “importance” to the PCB instead.
“We would like to thank and congratulate the Pakistan Cricket Board for successfully hosting the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025,” Allardice said.
“As this was the first global multi-team cricket event played in the country since 1996, this event was of huge significance for the PCB,” he added.
