Leicester and Leeds time in the top flight came to an end and Championship football will welcome the pair in the 2023-24 season.
Things escalated quickly as after half-time, Everton seemed to be the relegated one, while the Foxes had been safe as it stood.
The Toffees were held 0-0 by Bournemouth before the break, but Harvey Barnes scored to make things worse for their direct competitors.
However, Doucoure produced a rocket past Bournemouth’s Mark Travers, while Jordan Pickford pulled amazing saves at the end to seal Everton’s fate.
Wout Faes scored for Leicester in the second half, but even with the 2-1 win at West Ham, the former EPL champions could not escape the relegation.
The scene was epic at Goodison Park after Everton survived by only two points ahead of Leicester and the fans who stomped the field will for sure party long into the night.
Both Leicester and Leeds United will have to rebuild and look to bounce back next season, not an easy ask.
Leeds, who were trailed 1-4 by Tottenham, could not pull any rabbit out of the hat as Sam Allerdyce’s side are going down to the Championship.
