PSL TO SHOW MATCHES ONE HOUR AFTER IPL GAMES AMID SAME-WINDOW SCHEDULE

Expect the PSL to show matches one hour after the IPL (Indian Premier League) games amid the the same-window schedule by the two leagues.

Furthermore, PSL (Pakistan Super League) chief executive officer (CEO) Salman Naseer made the announcement on Thursday.

Moreover, he noted that the PSL adopted the April-May window this year.

“We are confident that the PSL has its own fan base and will attract the usual eyeballs,” Naseer said.

“The PSL has always produced quality competitive cricket and this year also we should see the same and cricket fans anywhere,” he added.

RAWALPINDI TO HOST PSL OPENER

Rawalpindi has been chosen to host the PSL opener set on Friday.

Moreover, PSL matches will begin on 8pm, one hour after the 7pm start time of IPL games,

Furthermore, Naseer noted that PSL teams were able to acquire known overseas stars who went unsold in the IPL auction.

This became possible, the CEO said, due to the same window by the two leagues.

Meanwhile, Naseer admitted that several parties are keen on buying two new teams.

Once the purchases are formalized, the PSL can add them by next year.

NASEER URGES PSL TEAMS TO ‘COMMUNICATE TO US DIRECTLY’ TO ADDRESS ISSUES

Naseer urged PSL to “communicate to us directly” to address any kind of issues affecting their stint with the league.

Furthermore, the CEO cited an open communication between the league and the teams.

Moreover, Naseer stressed the two side should nurture a “give-and-take” relationship.

“Look, we would think that all franchises have benefited from their association with the PSL over the years,” the CEO said.

“But we also feel that instead of going public it would be best if they spoke and communicated to us directly on any issues they might have,” he added.
