REAL BETIS VS CHELSEA SAW BLUES SNATCH TITLE BEHIND PALMER, LATE GOALS
The Real Betis vs Chelsea final saw the Blues win it behind Palmer’s excellent orchestration that led to a late barrage of goals.
Furthermore, the 23-year-old midfielder assisted on two of Chelsea’s four goals that triggered their late comeback.

Chelsea went scoreless for 64 minutes until Palmer found Enzo Martinez to tie the match in the 65th minute.
Palmer then curled in a pass that Nicolas Jackson converted for another goal to give the Blues the lead in the 70th minute.

Jadon Sancho struck through his right foot after a pass by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to post Chelsea’s third goal in the 83rd minute.
Moreover, it was Fernandez’s turn to become facilitator, as he aided Moises Caicedo for the match’s final goal on injury-time from the edge of the box.
Furthermore, the victory marked the Blues as the first club to claim all three of Europe’s major continental trophies.
Chelsea also became the first foreign side to prevent Betis, a Spanish team, in a European final since 2001.
Palmer was later adjudged as player of the match for his exploits.
MARESCA ADMITS BLUES ‘STRUGGLED A BIT’ EARLY BEFORE SECOND HALF COMEBACK
Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca admitted that his team “struggled a bit” early into the match before finally awakening late in the second half.
Furthermore, the coach also found inspiration after their struggles against Nottingham Forest, reminding his players to “be an important team” in time for the final.
Moreover, he praised his team for “attacking from behind” in the second half and never wavered from there.
“In the first half, we approached the game in the wrong way. I expected it a little bit, because for two days the happiness was a little bit too much after Nottingham Forest,” Maresca told TNT Sports.
“”The message after Forest was that if we wanted to be an important team, what we’ve done is done and we have to win a final now,” he added.
