Real Madrid optimistic on signing Alexander-Arnold

Alexander-Arnold’s current contract expires this summer, along with Liverpool teammates Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

The two parties have been in talks for months, and Madrid remain confident there will be no issues in finalizing a deal.

The LaLiga giants were eager to sign the 26-year-old during the January transfer window.

However, Premier League leaders Liverpool rejected Madrid’s £20 million bid for the England international.

Despite this, an agreement with Alexander-Arnold has yet to be finalized.

A talented full-back player

Real Madrid have long targeted Alexander-Arnold, valuing his talent, potential, and versatility at full-back.

The Spanish and European champions’ need for a right-back became urgent after Dani Carvajal, 33, suffered an ACL injury in October.

Alexander-Arnold has been a key player for Arne Slot’s side this season, contributing 10 goal involvements in 39 matches across all competitions.

A Liverpool academy graduate, he has won every major title, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup.
