ROCKETS VS NUGGETS GAME SAW MURRAY TAKE OVER AS DENVER WINS ON THE ROAD

NUGGETS HELD OWN DEFENSIVELY THROUGH JORDAN TO KEEP ROCKETS AT BAY

Denver coach Michael Malone had to play major minutes to Jordan, a 36-year-old 17-year veteran, to counter Houston’s tall frontline.

Moreover, the 6-foot-11 Jordan, along with the 6-foot-8 Gordon, held their own against the Rockets’ 6-foot-11 Turkish center Alperen Sengun and 22-year-old 6-foot-7 forward Amen Thompson.

Furthermore, Denver used a 109-100 lead as a cushion to keep Houston at bay in the stretch.

Braun’s two free throws with 19 seconds left secured th win for the Rockets.

Meanwhile, Jalen Green led Houston (46-26) with 30 points, while Dillon Brooks finished with 21 points.

MALONE SAYS JOKIC MIGHT RETURN IN DENVER’S FIVE-GAME HOMESTAND

Malone says Jokic may return at some point in Denver’s upcoming five-game homestand.

Furthermore, the Nuggets coach doesn’t expect his top center to play on Monday against the Chicago Bulls.

Moreover, Malone has kept Denver afloat, going 2-2 in the four games Jokic sat out.

“We’re just trying to get home and kind of see where he’s art,” Malone said of Jokic.

“It’d be great to have a chance to get our starting five some run together, because we haven’t had a lot of opportunity to do that this season,” he added.

Jokic is currently averaging 29.1 points and 10.3 assists per game for Denver this season.
