SEA Games 32 Men’s Football – Vietnam will be taking on Indonesia in the Semifinals after the 1-1 draw with Thailand in the last group stage game.

Finished at second place is obviously not the exact target for the reigning champions Vietnam, but they should be ready to face first place Indonesia, another heavy contenders this year.
What happened
U-22 Thailand scored early in the 3rd minute of the game, but Le Quoc Nhat Nam’s second-half goal earned the Red Dragon Warriors a draw.
With this result, U-22 Vietnam and Thailand level on 10 points; but the SEA Games Men’s Football record winners Thailand advanced to the last four as group winners by better GD (goal difference).
Vietnam will face Indonesia, the top team of Group A, in the semifinals on May 13. Meanwhile, Thais will face Myanmar on their way to the gold medal of 32nd edition of the regional tournament.

Vietnam will be having only one day ahead of the clash with Indonesia.
Two sides have met five times as Indonesia failed to beat Vietnam (4L 1D), scored only one while having conceded 13 goals.
In the latest two meetings, former Vietnam’s boss Park Hang-Seo beat their rivals 3-0. This year, U22 Indonesia have been performing very well, having won all four group-stage games, scored 13 goals with Fajar Fathur Rahman (4 goals) and Ramadhan Sananta (3 goals) are at their peak form.
