SEN LOSES TO NGUYEN IN OPENING DAY MATCH
Sen loses to Nguyen, 21-18, 9-21, 21-17, in one of the opening day matches Wednesday.
Furthermore, the 23-year-old Indian world No.15 lost a heartbreaking opening set before he forced a decider.
Moreover, Sen was dominating in the middle set and was looking to grab the momentum entering the third set.
However, Nguyen had other plans.
The 24-year-old Vietnamese-born player, now playing for Ireland, adjusted his game with precision shotmaking to send Sen reeling again to another opening-day setback.

KIDAMBI FALLS SHORT FROM MAKING MAIN DRAW
Kidambi fell sort from making the main draw after falling short in the qualifiers on Tuesday.
Moreover, the 32-year-old world No.47 won his opening qualifying match before losing in the second.
Furthermore Kidambi opened his campaign with a 21-15, 21-17 decision over Sankar Subramanian.
However, he failed to sustain the momentum and absorbed a 21-16, 21-19 loss to Tharun Mannepalli in the next round.
Tharun succeeded at where Kidambi failed, as the Indian shuttler defeated Kuo Kuan Lin, 17-21, 21-19, 21-17.
The world No.53’s win over Kidambi propelled him into the main draw.
HOH DENIES SHETTY FROM MAIN DRAW APPEARANCE IN THAILAND
Malaysia’s Justin Hoh denied another Indian shuttler, Ayush Shetty, from a place into the main draw.
Furthermore, Hoh advance after beating Shetty, 21-14, 22-20.
Moreover, Shetty wasted his opening round performance, a 21-10, 21-11 victory over Finland’s Joakim Oldorff.
Other Indian singles shuttlers were not so lucky either, with Sathish Karunakaran yielding a 17-21, 21-12, 21-12 setback to Malaysian Aidil Sholeh.
Ira Sharma also fell short in women’s singles qualifiers despite claiming an 18-21, 21-8, 21-12 decision over Myanmar’s Thet Hthar Htuzar.
However, Sharma lost to Thailand’s Thamonwan Nithiittikrai, 21-12, 21-18.
