SHARMA TO LEAD INDIA IN ENGLAND TESTS DESPITE AUSTRALIA STRUGGLES
Expect Sharma to lead India in the England Test series despite his struggles in Australia.
Furthermore, a report from Press Trust of India (PTI) said a status quo remains for Sharma as India captain.
Moreover, Sharma is coming off an unimpressive 31 runs in three matches in the Australia Tests.
Additionally, he even decided to drop out of India’s final Test at Sydney.
Sharma is coming off his captaincy stint with Team India that won the Champions Trophy 2025 final over New Zealand.
However, India is coming off two losses in Test series against Australia and New Zealand.
BCCI TO MAKE HINTS OF TEAM INDIA SELECTION AT IPL 2025 FINAL WEEK
The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has remained mum on Sharma’s status but not for long.
Moreover, the board will drop a major hint at the final week of India Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Furthermore, the BCCI selection committee is confident on the composition of the squad.
“There is enough time to announce the squad, mostly ahead of the knockouts or just after those matches,” a source with knowledge of the situation told PTI.
“You will then get a clear picture as to which players are available by then,” he added.
