SIMMONS GETS PRAISE FROM HARDEN AFTER HELPING CLIPPERS BEAT JAZZ

Simmons gets praise from Harden after he helped the Clippers beat the Utah Jazz, 120-116, on the road.

Furthermore, the 6-foot-9 oft-injured Australian guard-forward finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals off the bench in 27 minutes.

Moreover, Simmons’ effort was not lost on Harden, who was traded for the former when he was still with the Brooklyn Nets.

“Ben brings a skill set that, outside of myself, I feel like we don’t have,” Harden told reporters after the game.

“His passing ability, his speed, the way he pushes the ball and gets guys involved in the offense, those are things that can help us,” he added.

LEONARD CITES CLIPPERS’ SECOND-UNIT DEPTH WITH LATEST ADDITION

Leonard cited the Clippers boosted their depth at the second unit with the Australian’s arrival along with Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Moreover, Leonard is convinced Simmons will thrive in Los Angeles’ small-ball second unit due to his skills.

Furthermore, the two oft-injured players hope they stay healthy.

“Just to see wat he can do for us in that second unit, with that small-ball lineup,” Leonard said.

“He can push the pace, he’s a great passer, and he can defend multiple positions – from the 1 through 5,” he added.
