Furthermore, Sindhu defeated Indonesia’s Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo, 21-15, 21-19.

Moreover, India’s Olympic women’s singles medallist will next take on Akane Yamaguchi of Japan.

George matched Sindhu’s feat in men’s singles after his 21-16, 21-8 victory over Kazakhstan’s Dmitry Panarin.

MALAYSIA’S TOP BETS FALTER AS HOH, JIN WEI OUSTED

Malaysia’s top singles bets faltered after Justin Hoh and Goh Jin Wei suffered tough losses.

Moreover, Hoh crashed out after a 21-13, 21-19 loss to defending champion Jonatan Christie of Indonesia.

Furthermore, the 20-year-old Malaysian shuttler fell short in his 46-minute matchup against Christie on Thursday.

Jin Wei followed Hoh in the sidelines as she took a 15-21 16-21 setback to Supanida Katethong of Thailand.

Malaysia’s world No.48 women’s singles shuttler fell early against the Thai world No.9 this time.

Jun Wei dragged Supanida to three sets before losing at the Swiss Open last month.

SHIDA WANTS TO ‘STOP THE STALKING’ BY FANS IN CHINA

Shida wants to “stop the stalking” as she currently competes in Ningbo along with members of the Japanese team.

Furthermore, the 27-year-old Japanese women’s doubles shuttler, dubbed as the “most beautiful player” in China, she felt “very uncomfortable and very scared” in her current competition.

Moreover, Shida warned that she might “handle it” amid harrassment by fans for over a year-and-a-half already.

“We have been stalked every time we compete in China, it has already been going on for a year and a half,” Shida said.

“If this type of situation continues, I will have to think of a way to handle it,” she added.
