SINNER WINS SIX KINGS SLAM TITLE AFTER BEATING ALCARAZ

Jannik Sinner wins in the Six Kings Slam title after beating Carlos Alcaraz, 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-3, over the weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, the Italian world no. 1 finally beat the Spanish world no. 2.

Sinner has lost three previous meetings this season.

Moreover, Alcaraz holds a 6-4 edge in his head-to-head matchup against Sinner.

This year, the winners of all four majors vowed to sustain their rivalry for many years.

“Until now, every match was very, very good, but we will always hope this rivalry will last as long as possible,” Sinner said.

“I will try to do my best every day… to hopefully make this rivalry better and better over the years,” Alcaraz added.

DJOKOVIC TOPS NADAL TO CLINCH THIRD PLACE; SERBIAN TO MISS RETIRING RIVAL

Moreover, Djokovic topped Nadal 6-2, 7-6,(5) to clinch third place.

The Serbian admitted that he will miss his long-time rival.

Furthermore, the 24-time Grand Slam winner shared a warm embrace at the end of the match.

Djokovic improved to 31-29 in their head-to-head matchup.

“The last dance was an epic one. And, of course, emotional,” the 24-time major winner wrote on social media.

“I’ll cherish our rivalry forever, (Rafael Nadal). Tennis will miss you,” he added.

Nadal announced last week that he will retire before the end of the 2024 season, with the Davis Cup in Malaga next month as his last tournament.

RAFA WANTS TO BE ‘100% SURE’ HE CAN WIN TO PLAY IN DAVIS CUP SINGLES

Meanwhile, Nadal wants to be “100% sure” that he can win a match if he will play in the Davis Cup men’s singles.

Furthermore, the 22-time Grand Slam winner needs to be not physically ready to play in Malaga in the November 19-21 tournament.

“I will try to be in good shape to help the team to win. If I don’t feel ready for the singles, I’ll be the first one to say,” Nadal said.

“Be 100% sure I will not be on the court if I don’t feel ready to win my match,” he added.

Moreover, the 38-year-old Spanish legend is open to partnering with Alcaraz in the men’s doubles if necessary.

“He (Alcaraz) is going to do very well with what he’s got. He’s learning all the time,” Nadal said of the 21-year-old Alcaraz.

“We can see he’s developing in every way. But of course, I’ll be ready whenever he wants to call me,” he added.
