Jun Hao kept Malaysia’s hopes alive after his 21-19 22-20 win ofw4 Koo Takahashi of Japan.

Moreover, the world No.26 needed 54 minutes and a lot of steely nerves to humble his Japanese opponent to advance.

SINDHU FALLS AGAIN EARLY, LOSES TO JAKOBSEN

Sindhu could not match Srikanth’s effort, as she absorbed a 21-17, 21-19 loss to Denmark’s Julie Jakobsen in women’s singles action.
