STOKES EYES COMEBACK FOR ENGLAND AFTER LEFT HAMSTRING SURGERY
Stokes eyes a comeback for England following his left hamstring surgery after he bowled in England’s Test against New Zealand last month.

He also placed a caption on the photo: “Bionic Man for a while.”
Stokes was forced to miss England’s recent Test series against Sri Lanka.

Moreover, Stokes says rushing to play again after his initial injury would later “physically drain and ruin himself.”

He rushed to play in England’s winter assignments in Pakistan and New Zealand.
Stokes bowled 36.2 overs prior to his injury in Hamilton.
That was the most he has bowled in a Test.
He had 40 at Trent Bridge also against New Zealand in 2022.
He had bowled 49 overs across three Tests against West Indies after his successful knee surgery in October 2023.
“I have to work so much harder on the physical side of the job to allow me to go out and do my job,” Stokes said then prior to the Hamilton Test.

Furthermore, the England captain targets a Test in Zimbabwe in May.
This will complete a possible three-month rehab period.his
Moreover, Stokes is definitely not playing for England in next month’s ICC Champions Trophy.
The injury has also forced him to forego a £800,000 deal with MI Cape Town in the SA20.
The SA20 starts on Thursday.
“I bowled nice in the summer, had a setback but now feel out of that and not worrying about anything else happening again,” Stokes said.
“As you get older you think about your body a bit more but I work harder because I have to,” he added.
